IMPORTANT
The promotion notification window UI is a bit bugged in certain resolutions. The button to close it on the X gets its hitbox raised up on certain resolutions.
Fix is to click at the top of the X.

A short clicker game where you rise the rankings in Gugle by pressing "work" and borrowing from Google.
This is a game made for Vim Jam 2, a game jam with a ten-day deadline. I, however, chose to set a personal deadline of 72 hours.
There is nothing new after reaching CEO.

Art assets were made in Aseprite and sound effects were made in BFXR.
Known Bugs/Issues:
The promotion notification window UI is a bit wack. The button to close it on the X gets its hitbox raised up on certain resolutions. Fix is to click near the top of the X.
Audio is choppy and a tad bit annoying in certain places. Just mute the tab.
If you get promoted while in the shop menu next upgrade doesn't appear until you go to the work button and back to the shop menu.
The button animation is wacky ngl.

The numbers here are rather strange. Since the costs don't increase, each tier has a point where you can infinitely buy more because you're earning money faster than you can spend it. I worked my way up the tiers this way, but when I got to 1000 robot employees, the game slowed down so much my browser wanted to force-stop it.

hmmm that doesnt happen for me. Are you clicking the very top of the X? The ui is bugged currently so the hitbox for the close button at the very top of the X instead of over the whole thing

When you get promoted to Junior Software Developer, the game "freezes" and you can't press anything.
